A peek at region 2
We're still hammering away working on the quest content for region 1 and the level design for region 2. I've now completed the upper half of region 2, and have started playtesting it. So far things seem to be alright, but there's always small tweaks that need to be done here and there to iron out frustrating edges.
This is also primarily why the lower part of region 1 and what I've built of region 2 so far remains untiled. I don't want to spend time tiling things in, when we almost definitely need to change or completely redo a number of rooms. However, I couldn't resist and decided to tile in one of the more scenic rooms, just to get a look at it:
As you can see, there's going to be a big focus on more nature-heavy themes with the design in this region. There's still a lot more left to be done visually as well, but I'm looking forward to what we can do with this. Having such a big shift from the much colder and industrial areas of region 1 is really cool!
