Kandria
Gamescom is over!
Whew, that was an exhausting week to say the least. Felt like I was constantly walking on eggshells by the end of it. Anyway, I wanted to share some photos from the conference!
The Swiss Games booth was quite large, and definitely the most impressive presence of the booths I saw. 16 Swiss studios had a stand at the booth, so there was a lot to see as well.
Our stand was situated a bit unfortunately, facing away from the walkways, making it hard to see the display. Oh well, apparently there was quite a bit of a rush with upgrading the booth last minute, so I'm not too bothered that we got a bit unlucky with our stand.
Really cool though was the giant LED wall they had at the booth, which usually looped trailers of the games. For half an hour on Thursday though we were able to play Kandria on it and have bystanders try one of the race side quests. Seeing it so large really made quite a difference!
Well, I've tried to recover from all the standing in the past two days. It doesn't look like I got sick, so I somehow luckily managed to dodge Covid again, despite being almost the only masked person around.
I'll be resuming regular development now, with the promised beta launch coming in the next few days, and the source code release not being too far out either.
Now that we're entering the final months before release though, we really do need some more attention on the game, so I will ask you once again: please share Kandria with your friends and on whatever platforms or circles you can. Getting a good launch for the game will make a big difference for future games moving forward.
Thank you very much for all your support so far, and I hope I can continue to make games for you for many years more!
