Kandria
Kandria is going on holidays!
Hey, I hope you've had the time to check out the new 0.2.2 demo that released last weekend! If not, then don't worry, there's still plenty of time to do so. The demo's not going anywhere, and there won't be any new updates for the next two weeks either, as we're going on holidays.
This is the first proper holiday season of the year, and after churning away at the demo for so long I think it's a well deserved break. Personally I'm going on a trip to Italy, which I've been looking forward to for weeks. More specifically, I'm going to Forte Dei Marmi in Tuscany, which I haven't been to in a decade. It's one of my favourite holiday spots, but due to university I wasn't able to visit for a long time.
During the break I'm going to try my best not to think about Kandria, and instead work on some other things that I've been itching to get to for a while now. I know, I know, you're going to say "shouldn't you try to relax and not work at all"? Well, for me at least, the best holidays are ones where I can be in a cool place and work on what I want when I want. There's few things that make me happier than a productive day just indulging my own interests!
In any case, the demo release seems to have gone mostly without a hitch. We got a couple of reports from people accidentally (or on purpose?) messing about in the editor, which is something we hadn't really tested for. There were some other minor pieces of feedback as well so far, but ultimately I'm happy there wasn't a rush of crash reports and other issues.
We also got a nice spike in activity on our mailing list, and finally breached the 200 mark! If you're one of the new subscribers, welcome! I hope you stick around and enjoy the weekly development updates on here. I probably won't write one next week, but I'll do a nice holiday roundup two weeks from now.
Until then, the Kandria team and my budgies wish you all the best. Stay safe and healthy out there and see you again in two weeks!
